I don’t feel like I’m posting enough personal posts (well not enough posts in general but that’s another story) so anyway, I thought it was time for a little update.
I’ve been shooting boudoir like a madwoman. I’ve got another boudoir shoot on Saturday at the Hard Rock that I’m super excited about as well as a maternity shoot (aww!). The following weekend I’m doing 2 family shoots with some close friends. I’m looking forward to not just taking the photos but spending the time with everyone. I had to take a little break for a few weeks because I was just so tired but I’m getting my energy back so I should be good to go for the next few months.
Speaking of that, the pregnancy is going great so far. I haven’t been sick once (knock on wood), and I mean pregnancy sick, not just sick in general. I’ve been fighting a cold for over a week now, but on the pregnancy side of things, I feel really lucky to have gone though the first few months without any problems. Next week I’ll be 3 months and in my first week of the 2nd trimester. Crazy, right? I’m going to start belly pictures this weekend. I think I’m starting to grow. It’s especially noticeable after I eat. Fatty patty!!
I’m still researching birth like crazy and I’m in awe of how in the dark most women are about birth options. I swear they should teach this stuff in high school…but alas, they don’t. I just feel lucky that my mom has pointed me in the right direction and I feel educated & confident enough to say what I need instead of just letting the obstetrician/midwife take charge. I’m actually looking forward to the birth, believe it or not.
The calendar is already getting packed with bridal showers/baby showers/bachelorette parties/weddings…it blows my mind, I thought everyone I knew did this last year and the year before!! hahaha Love is definitely in the air. The busy-ness should make the pregnancy go by pretty quickly, oh and speaking of that, I can’t wait to buy cute maternity dresses for some of those late weddings!! Sexy-time!
Baby names are QUITE the issue between me and the man. Sometimes I think he might be saying he doesn’t like the name idea just because it’s coming from me. I think I might start telling his mom or dad the names I like and then his they can present them. I bet it would make a difference! He loves names ending in S and X which don’t really flow with our last name, he doesn’t think that’s important so round and round we go. :) At least we have 6 months left!
And speaking of him…I must say that I think he’s the best husband ever. Sorry ladies. I win. haha No but seriously, he is so kind and patient with me when I’m feeling tired or bloated, he just says the most amazing things, and with a paralyzing amount of sincerity. I am so in love with him, in case I haven’t said that enough.
I guess that’s it for my boring update!! PS I hope you are all watching Big Love cause that show is goooood this season!
